My Russian dwarf hamster squeaks a lot when the other one goes near her. Why is this?

They play together and cuddle up at night but sometimes they have a little fight (lasting no more than 10 seconds) but Kassie squeaks all the time. I'm worried she's scared of the other one but they do seem to get on.
