Is the baby bunny dead, can't tell?

A minute ago my cat just killed a baby bunny, it bled heavily. You could hear him squeaking. Kicked for about 30 seconds getting slower, stopped. Can not tell any signs of breathing. Put into shoe box. Local vet doesn't treat bunnies, and nearest 24/7 is next town over. Is he still alive? I feel so bad.
