Guy+ short/frequent texts =?

Okay so pretty much & met this guy at my aftergrad party & he goes to another school. The way we met was I was walking by & he was talking to a group of ppl & introduced himself to me asi was walking so we chatted a bit then I asked him to dance. Anyways, making a long story short, the night ended & I added him on fb, he accepted & sent me an inbos "hey, hows it going?". Pretty much from then on ,we have been sending little messages back & forth & one day, I caught him on chat & he asked me if I had a cell. Now, he texts me quite a bit, yet they are real short messages with not much content to them & sometimes are one liners that are hard to respond too. For example, Ill be like, "so whatcha up to now?" & he'll respond "cooking some lunch up"/. & when I have nothing else to reply, I don't but he always ends up texting me something random yet not flirty. I was at a show & told him I would have to turn my phone off. after 2 hours, he texted me asking me how the show was etc so it; clear he wants to chat but is he interested?
